Meeting with Mr. Dishari, AGM of Hotel Grand Sultan Tea Resort & Golf, Sreemangal, to Explore Collaboration Opportunities
A discussion meeting was held on 18 September 2026 at 3:30 PM between Mr. Dishari, AGM of Hotel Grand Sultan and Tea Resort, Sreemangal, and the EARN Project Management Team. The meeting aimed to introduce the Economic Acceleration and Resilience for NEET Youth (EARN) Project, explore potential collaboration with the hospitality sector, and identify employment and skills-development opportunities for project participants in Sreemangal Upazila.
During the meeting, the project team briefed Mr. Dishari on the EARN Project’s objectives, implementation approach, and intended support for eligible young people who are not in education, employment, or training (NEET). Discussions focused on the resort’s current and anticipated workforce requirements, potential employment opportunities across relevant occupational categories, and the skills and competencies expected from prospective employees. The participants also explored opportunities for facilitating workplace-based training, internships, and recruitment of suitably trained youth, subject to the resort’s operational requirements and recruitment procedures.
The meeting further highlighted the importance of aligning the project’s trade selection and skills-development interventions with actual local labour-market demand. Potential collaboration with Hotel Grand Sultan and Tea Resort was discussed as a means of strengthening employer engagement and establishing practical pathways to employment for trained youth. The discussion also covered the need to identify appropriate communication and referral mechanisms to connect qualified candidates with prospective employers and to explore viable self-employment opportunities based on local market needs.
